Following the successful launch of the Carboncraft Tender Fender during the Monaco Yacht Show 2023, the company that is specialized in high-tech carbon fiber equipment for the superyacht industry, is introducing its Carboncraft Superyacht Deck Collection during METS Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam based Carboncraft was founded in 2022 by a group of highly experienced professionals from the world of boatbuilding, superyachting and design. The company is specialized in the design and manufacturing of high-end and non-constructive carbon equipment for new superyachts, and the maintenance and upgrading of existing yachts. Paul Buyse, Founder and CEO: “Superyacht designers and builders usually design and produce custom made carbon products like tender fenders, sun awning poles, or swim stairs themselves. We often see a lack of unity in the design of the various carbon fiber products, harming the style and character of the vessel. But it is not only about the looks. Ad-hoc design and production is not cost effective, time consuming and vulnerable to quality issues. We therefore see huge opportunities to make a difference in the superyacht industry with our high-end carbon fiber products, all designed in a uniform style, and all engineered and manufactured in a standard way.”

Unity Collection

Following the successful launch of its Tender Fender, Carboncraft now introduces its ‘Unity Collection’ containing the following applications: a tender fender, sun awning poles, railings, swim stairs, a swim ladder, block fenders and lounge beds. This basic collection contains seven products, designed in unity style, all engineered and manufactured with identical high quality certified parts and materials in one exclusive European facility with relatively short delivery planning. Buyse: "After the great response we received in Monaco, we worked very hard to be able to present a first full collection of high-end carbon products for the superyacht industry at the METS. We even managed to produce one of the designs, the incredible Sun Awning Poles with integrated lightning. I invite everyone to visit our booth to see the great design and superior quality, and to learn more about our company and our products."

Recognizable and reliable

The pieces on display at METS pave the way for the entire unified, cohesive collection of essential deck hardware to come, including tender blocks for boarding platforms, railings, swim ladders and swim stairs. "Our ambition with Carboncraft is to develop our own recognizable design language that, whether executed in a clear coat finish, painted to match a yacht's colors or finished in any design an owner wished. Regardless of the finish, our products, will always have a recognizable look and will upgrade the yacht. The highest level of product design goes hand in hand with the highest level of production. This is why we believe Carboncraft will become the new benchmark in high-end carbon fiber deck hardware."

Partners

Buyse underlines that Carboncraft does not see itself as competing with superyacht designers and builders. "Everything in this industry is about perfection. Our products are designed and manufactured with that in mind. I am glad that our partners from the superyacht industry recognize this and see the added value of our vision, and of course of our products.” The company’s development and production strategy is based on long term and exclusive partnerships, with full guarantee on high-end design, standard engineering of proven solutions and certified quality.

Strategic investment partner

Carboncraft has recently attracted Telstar Marine, globally recognized as one of the leading companies in upholstery for superyachts with offices in The Netherlands and Spain, as an strategic investment partner. The company has been active for more than half a century and is globally known for its superb superyacht cushions, covers and awnings is a perfect complement to Carboncraft’s business model.

Paul Buyse: “The Netherlands has been known worldwide for centuries for its boat builders. With quality, reliability, innovation and design, the Netherlands is also one of the best in the world in the construction of superyachts. Carboncraft’s main focus is on the most respected industry of superyacht building, based in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Turkey, focussing on custom built yachts, production yachts and the market for refit with a yearly market value in the pan-European manufacturing area of € 150 - € 200 million. We are excited to be able to have the opportunity to be part of this great industry.”
