Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Falcon Tenders, a specialist builder of fully-custom superyacht tenders for the discerning yacht owner, is exhibiting its custom-built 10.5m limousine tender – #misswonderly – at the 2022 #veniceboatshow, one of the main international trade fairs dedicated to boating.

The Southampton-based boatbuilder, co-founded by Mark Pascoe, specialises in building fully-custom yacht tenders, drawing on Pascoe’s 20+ years’ industry experience producing bespoke tenders for some of the most iconic superyachts ever launched. The dedicated Hampshire facilities comprise a 2,300sqm purpose-built manufacturing and office complex, and will create new opportunities for a highly-skilled workforce of up to 25 people.

From inception, #falcontenders has collaborated with international stylists. The pool of talent includes legendary and multi-award-winning designer Tim Heywood, visionary creatives Uros Pavasovic and David Weiss of Designova and turnkey studio ThirtyC Yacht Design. The aim is to produce a range of designs exclusive to #falcontenders that deliver on all fronts.

At 10.5m, Falcon Tenders’ first limousine model, #misswonderly, penned by British studio Michael Leach Design is the ideal accompaniment to superyachts of all sizes. Pitched at the upper end of the large tender market, #misswonderly presents the perfect design for guests looking to comfortably transit from yacht to shore, particularly for 100m+ yachts that anchor further out at sea. Reclaimed teak adorns the exterior deck areas complemented by premium Scottish leather upholstery for a refined interior finish.

Falcon Tenders’ design intent was to develop a superyacht tender with new lines, exterior and interior finishes and textures using sustainably sourced materials. Seating capacity, ease of
launching, crew operation, passenger boarding and stowing of hand luggage have been carefully considered whilst delivering beauty along with performance and the smoothest possible, quiet and dry ride.

Falcon’s hand-crafted, stylish high-quality tenders bridge the gap between performance and ocean preservation. Sustainability is at the core of the brand.

Sustainability is at the core of the #falcontenders brand appealing to the younger generation of yacht owners today as well as being relevant to the owners of tomorrow. It manufactures main structures and small component mouldings using plant-based epoxy resin derived from the latest innovations in bio-based chemistry, and using hybrid technology for quiet, smooth and emission-free propulsion.

Faired and painted to superyacht standards in high gloss Black Blue and Signal White, all the components are of the highest quality with attention to serviceability and longevity. The edge-pressed bamboo veneers used for the main bulkheads in the interior are also sustainably sourced.

Paired with a luxurious interior, the hybrid technology maintains quiet, smooth and emission-free transitions throughout the port and inshore waters, seamlessly changing to combustion power in open waters and automatically back to electric drive when coming off plane and arriving at the yacht.

The system can also be isolated to use electric power only for inland waterways, such as lakes or canals around Venice. Propulsion is provided by a self-charging, plug-in, hybrid electric system comprising twin Hyundai SeasAll S30 270hp V6 combustion engines and two Huracan Marine 20KW e-motors fitted with automatic clutch coupled to two Femak 20Kw lithium-ion batteries that can provide up to an hour of silent, zero-emission running at low speed. A hybrid generator and 11KW Lithium battery electrical system provide silent operation of the air conditioning, Seakeeper, proportional bow and stern thrusters, lighting and other house loads.

Externally, #misswonderly benefits from a large activity platform aft, illuminated at night with a concealed warm white neon LED strip. A swim ladder can also be fitted to the stern-facing sockets.

Pascoe is joined by international racing driver Dean Stoneman who partners him in managing #falcontenders. Former F2 Champion and F1 test driver Stoneman is no stranger to the water having been crowned P1 Powerboat Champion in 2012. Over the past decade he has built a number of powerboats and fully understands the marine yacht tender business.

The second model from #falcontenders is scheduled to make its world debut at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show. Further information will be made available in the coming months. For further information on #falcontenders, please visit the website at Falcon-tenders.com
