Jaguar Powerboats debuts design at Fort Lauderdale Show

Jaguar Powerboats is renowned for marrying its storied racing heritage with uncompromising safety to produce power catamarans of exceptional speed and stability. Its new Jaguar 36 Offshore Fish builds upon this legacy, but completely reimagines it as a dedicated fishing platform. Renderings and specifications will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Oct. 28–Nov. 1, Red Zone H / I Dock 24, where Jaguar is showcasing its J43.

Jaguar Powerboats developed the 36 Offshore for one purpose: to land trophies. Everything above and below the waterline is dedicated to this goal. Yet in the process, they created a vessel of stunning beauty and a new aesthetic for offshore sportfish boats.

Below the waterline, the 36 Offshore is based on Jaguar Powerboats' world championship-winning narrow body catamaran hull. Surprisingly stronger and lighter than the competition—it's a mere 8,000 lbs. fully equipped—the boat is expected to top 75 mph with twin Mercury 300Rs and exceed 90 mph with dual Mercury 450s. The ride is exceptionally smooth and comfortable so as to not fatigue those onboard before the action starts.

Highly efficient, the fuel economy of the 36 Offshore with Mercury 300Rs is anticipated to approach 2 mpg cruising at 45-50 mph with a full fishing load, and better than 1.5 mpg with the 450s. A 500 gallon fuel capacity enables a range of 750-1,000 miles, making it the ideal tournament boat. With its 15" draft and jack plates, it'll run skinny water that would ground a deep-V boat.

The 36 Offshore will be rigged with only the finest components, electronics and accessories. Easy access to everything from wiring to plumbing systems make inspections and maintenance simple.

Tackle storage on the Jaguar 36 Offshore Fish will exceed even the most ardent angler's demands. It features twin 450 qt. insulated coffin boxes above deck, dual 800 qt. insulated fish boxes with diaphragm pump- outs, twin 900 qt. in-deck insulated storage boxes and an additional two 350 qt in-deck boxes. Plus, the boat has 5' 6" headroom to access the head within the console.

When the tackle station and rigging table aren't needed, a plush rear- facing seat with a built-in cooler provides luxurious seating. The T-top with sunshade has an observation seat to watch the spread and see deep into the water. A second station can be built to order.

Hauling the 36' L x 10' 10" W Jaguar 36 Offshore Fish is simple with its unique, custom-designed trailer. It provides single-handed launch and retrieval, making distant fishing grounds easily accessible.

The Jaguar 36 Offshore Fish is the first in a series of dedicated fishing boats from #jaguarpowerboats and will be followed by a 32' version and larger models using its world-famous "Coca Cola" wide-body racing hull. The completed 36 Offshore will be shown at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 11–15, 2021.
