Perini Navi delivers 60th yacht – 38m S/Y Dahlak

The #perininavigroup, leaders in the design and construction of super yachts, has delivered the company's 60th yacht at the Picchiotti yard in La Spezia, Italy.  This stunning aluminium sloop is the second in the Perini Navi series of 38m performance sailing yachts, designed in collaboration with naval architect #phillippebriand.

"It's a profoundly emotional moment for me. This is something I have envisioned for a lifetime," said the owner on the occasion of the handover.  "The Perini Navi team listened and understood my requirements.  I'm an owner who wants to sail the boat himself.  I also don't want to have the engines running while sailing, or during the night.  At Perini Navi, I found a very positive environment where I could express my vision, this is reflected in the finished #yacht.  Together with the team, we achieved this - these are true evolutions in sailing."  

S/Y Dahlak exemplifies Perini Navi's commitment to innovation and build #excellence.  World renowned for pure sailing freedom, Perini Navi's proprietary sail handling system enables the owner to sail this impressive 38m #yacht singlehanded with ease.  The state of the art electric captive winches, controlled by one joystick, ensure efficient and controlled manoeuvres.  While the innovative Lithium polymer battery system enables the #yacht to be operated purely under battery power, including while sailing, without the need of a generator.

Designed by Perini Navi's interior architects, S/Y Dahlak has a luminous, contemporary interior with the finest materials and attention to detail.

Perini Navi ha consegnato ieri Dahlak, sessantesima unità e secondo esemplare della serie di 38 metri di #yacht a #vela presso il cantiere Picchiotti a La Spezia. Creata dalla collaborazione tra Perini Navi, leader mondiale nella progettazione e realizzazione di navi a #vela e motore e l' architetto navale Philippe Briand, Dahlak rappresenta il frutto delle più recenti innovazioni tecniche e costruttive di Perini Navi.


"Ѐ un momento profondamente emozionante per me. Questo è qualcosa che ho desiderato per tutta la vita" ha dichiarato l'armatore in occasione del passaggio di consegna". Il team Perini Navi ha ascoltato e capito le mie esigenze. Sono un armatore che vuole gestire la barca in totale autonomia. Insieme al team abbiamo apportato importanti innovazioni. Abbiamo anche ottenuto l'obiettivo di avere i motori spenti durante la notte e durante la navigazione. In Perini Navi ho trovato un ambiente molto positivo che mi ha seguito nell'esaudire i miei desideri per far sì che questa barca rappresentasse anche me stesso".

L'imponente piano velico in carbonio monta un albero di 51,4 metri e boma avvolgibile per una superficie velica totale installata di oltre 1.870 metri quadrati. Progettato per una navigazione facile e veloce, lo #yacht è costruito interamente in lega di alluminio Sealium e vanta numerose innovazioni tecniche, a testimonianza dell'impegno di Perini Navi nel fornire ai propri armatori le più innovative soluzioni tecnologiche a beneficio delle performance, della facilità di navigazione e del comfort a bordo, tra cui i captive winch elettrici costruiti da Perini Navi ed un sistema di batterie ai polimeri di litio per una navigazione ecologica e silenziosa.
