Heading for nautic 2022 3-10 december - porte de versailles

Extreme adventurer Mike Horn will open the doors of this new staging of the #paris Boat #show on Saturday, 3 December at 10 a.m. Nearly 170,000 visitors are expected this year to meet the 650 exhibitors on site. Several new features will mark the 61st Nautic, which promises great experiences for lovers of boating and yachting. The #show will have a more concentrated format over nine days, with a preview evening reserved exclusively for exhibitors and their guests and a closing night on Saturday, 10 December, for a festive nautical night open to all.

"We are delighted that Mike Horn has agreed to sponsor this event. This great adventurer, a lover of extreme sports, polyglot and globetrotter, embodies a large number of our nautical values and knows, like other great names in their time, how to combine innovation and pushing oneself to the limits", summarises Alain Pichavant, the Nautic General Commissioner.

Nautic, asserting nautical know-how

Spread over two halls at the Porte de Versailles, yachts will rub shoulders with motor boats, board sports and equipment as well as tourism professionals, the swimming pool and spa sector and nautical territories. The #show will invite the enthusiast, amateur or curious to explore all the attractions of nautical know-how. Many new products will also line the show's aisles, some exhibiting alternative energy solutions and products with less impact on the natural environment.

Innovation for lasting escape as the common thread of this event

Innovation and new products will be everywhere in the #show. "It is rare for exhibitors not to present a new product on their stands with the common goal of participating concretely in the ecological transition. This attests to the buoyancy of the sector and general awareness of environmental issues", analyses the French Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN). Visitors will also be invited to meet the future winners of the Innovation competition. About fifteen finalists out of more than sixty project entries will be exhibited in this space set aside specifically for this purpose. The grand final will take place on the nautical stage on Saturday, 10 December in front of a jury made up of personalities and experts. They include the Director General of Maritime Affairs, a skipper from the Macif and the Managing Director of VivaTech who will decide among the entrants. One new feature presented at Nautic will be a virtual reality space to live through an experience without getting wet! "We are experimenting with a new approach, as we are convinced that virtual reality, without of course replacing the pleasure of the activity in real life, can bring us new developments in the very near future", emphasises FIN.

Nautic will welcome the OCEAN exhibition, a remarkable immersive experience

Preservation of the marine environment will also be clearly reflected through an immersion dive within the exhibition on the Ocean & Climate Platform covering nearly 500 m2 in Hall 1. The visitor will be treated to a fun, smart, visual and auditory experience thanks to a 40- metre graphic fresco and a dome projecting a film at 360°.

And other highlights throughout the nine days...

Sunday, 4 December, the 12th Nautic Paddle will see 1,000 participants for the largest paddle race in the world, setting off at dawn! Notice to the courageous, participants and supporters alike... The organisers also announce other highlights like the presentation of the Prizes for the Route du Rhum 2022 - Destination Guadeloupe (10 December), attended by the skippers, events around the attractiveness of professions and many conferences on the nautical stage, not forgetting the festive aspect of the Nautical Evening on Saturday, 10 December at night which will close the event.

"The #paris Nautic is always a special moment in the life of the nautical sector. An unmissable national event, it is also a powerful medium and a tool for promoting company know-how. The 2022 event today is following on from the major post-Covid events and takes account of new exhibitor constraints and the expectations of new generations. It must henceforth come to terms with its new realities and set itself ambitious goals for the future", FIN believes.
