ePropulsion takes gold at The British Yachting Awards
ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Evo selected as Equipment Innovation of the Year winner
ePropulsion, a global leader and market challenger in marine electric propulsion systems, is celebrating after its Spirit 1.0 Evo was selected as the Equipment Innovation of the Year category winner at this year’s British Yachting Awards.
The British Yachting Awards celebrate the achievements of the sailing world over the past year and are presented by Sailing Today and Yachts and Yachting Magazine. The awards are unique as all the winners are selected by public vote alone.
ePropulsion was up against some serious competition in the Equipment Innovation of the Year category but its Spirit 1.0 Evo proved to be the worthy winner on the night with the portable 3HP electric outboard praised for its performance, hydrogeneration capabilities and sustainable sailing experience.
Danny Tao, Co-founder and CEO of #epropulsion, commented: “We are all absolutely delighted to have been selected as the winner and that we were selected by the public vote, which is a fantastic endorsement of our product from our customers. This award win follows a remarkable year for #epropulsion with the company achieving 150% sales revenue in 2021 in 11 months. The company was also pleased to attend METSTRADE last month to showcase its product range at a major European trade show for the first time since the launch of the new products in January 2021. #epropulsion was represented by its Dutch distributor, Drinkwaard.
John Drinkwaard said: “It was great to participate at this year’s METSTRADE 2021 in Amsterdam. We had a great show and despite the challenges, the organisers did a brilliant job of running everything smoothly and within restrictions. It was so nice to have face-to-face meetings again and show visitors all of the latest models in the fantastic #epropulsion range.”
ePropulsion’s continued success is paving the way for more sustainable boating and a growing number of conscientious boat owners converting from petrol to electric propulsion outboards. Its products are renowned for being high quality, quiet, eco-friendly and low maintenance. Electric propulsion outboards are not only better for the environment, but they are also easier to use, with no starter cord, fuel tap or choke. Furthermore, the products benefit from the full power running time of a 3HP electric outboard being generally the same as, or longer than, a petrol outboard.
