MCM appointed owner representative for a 58-foot Vanquish Yachts new construction project

  • MCM is representing the Owner for the construction of a VQ58T at Vanquish Yacht’s new facility in Marknesse, The Netherlands
  • The vessel began construction in March 2021 and is scheduled for delivery to the United States in October 2021
  • This 58-foot express cruiser - an exciting project for MCM

A futuristic boat zips through the water with the grace of a thoroughbred. The boat is sleek, fast, and deceptively big — the 58-foot Vanquish Yachts is an unmistakable head turner.

Cruising the canals of Miami, or the shallow waters of the Florida Keys are natural habitats for the VQ58. An innovative hull design allows low fuel consumption, fast acceleration, impressive comfort, and smooth agility with long range. Shallow draft lets her explore more remote destinations, while luxury amenities such as spacious accommodations and multiple entertainment areas make her comfortable for overnight getaways with friends and family. One might spot a VQ58 anchored at a sandbar in Key Biscayne or the docks of a #yacht club in Key Largo.

Nigel Ingram of #mcm is the owner’s representative for the construction of this VQ58T, a boat that’s in a league of her own in this size range. This is a new project for the #yacht management company who typically oversees the construction and refit of much larger yachts, such as a R/P Nauta, a 151-foot Sloop currently under construction at Royal Huisman, and the refit of the 183-foot Feadship Broadwater. Yet the opportunity to work with Vanquish Yachts to oversee construction on a customized VQ58T presented them with a fascinating project. Geographically, it makes sense — #mcm is positioned to facilitate clear communication between the owner in the United States and construction in the Netherlands.

“It’s not very different from our other projects, it’s all about oversight of high level build quality and technical installation” said Owner's representative, Nigel Ingram. “As a smaller vessel, it doesn’t take as much time or as many resources as the larger yachts to oversee. Nonetheless, for the owner being in the United States and the boat being built in the Netherlands, it is beneficial to have someone experienced and knowledgeable to check on her throughout the build.”
