Sundeck Yachts Making a Presence in Fort Lauderdale at FLIBS and with New Office


Sundeck Yachts, a preeminent yacht builder based in Lavagna, Fano and Ravenna, Italy, will be making their mark in the South Florida area as part of their commitment in entering the U.S. yachting market.

With a strong following across Europe based on sales of their 550, 580 and 700 motoryachts, Sundeck Yachts will be a spotlight exhibitor at the 2019 #fortlauderdale International Boat Show with a new 580 on display in the water. Additionally, #sundeck Yachts will have a new booth in the Superyacht Pavilion Tent at the show, giving attendees two locations to speak with #sundeck Yachts representatives as well as touring their highly sought-after 580 model.

Billed as fast Italian trawlers, #sundeck Yachts are so much more. “We focus on three areas for our yachts; safety, comfort and efficiency” stated Mr. Angelo Casartelli, a fellow yachtsman himself.

The 580 Trawler is one of seven models by #sundeck Yachts, which also includes the 430 Open, 480 Trawler, 580 Sport, 700 Trawler, 850 Trawler and 38-meter superyacht.

Each fiberglass mold is designed in-house and carved on a 5-axis CNC machine for precision sizing. Assembled by a dedicated team of craftsmen, the solid fiberglass hulls and most all components are sourced in-house for exceptional quality control. The three yards in Italy can have ten hulls simultaneously under construction.

Styled for family living or enjoying time with friends, the 580’s layout is open and airy, with large windows and aft doors on the aft deck as well as numerous windows in each stateroom below. The flybridge deck is large for a yacht this size, as is the foredeck sunpad and forward seating. There are multiple social areas around the 580 for relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

Featuring an axe bow, sharp entry and wide chines that start at the peak, the 580 is a seaworthy boat that slices the waves as well as getting on plane, with speeds up to 25 knots and range of 1,200 nm at 9.5 knots. A Seakeeper gyro stabilization unit is standard.

#sundeck Yachts has also committed to securing retail space at The Quay, on 17th Street in #fortlauderdale. With a presence in a huge second-floor #office space as well as dock space behind the #office on the canal, #sundeck Yachts will now be established in the “Yachting Capital of the World”.

“With a successful run since 2015 when we were founded, we have sold 18 of our 550 and 580 models” said Mr. Casartelli. “With orders and construction already started on several of our 430 and 700 models, it’s time we bring our brand to the U.S.”, he added.
