Wider officially unveils their new projects at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019

A 54m PROJECT HAS ALREADY STARTED WITH A 41m ONE TO FOLLOW SOON, BOTH YACHTS WITH AN INGRAINED ELECTRIC SOUL.

On the evening of the opening day of the 29th edition of the Monaco #yacht Show, the Italian nautical company #wider presented their new projects. During a press conference in the beautiful Hotel Hermitage in Eze, #marcellomaggi, #philipzepter and Tiziano Giovannetti revealed to the press what they were working on for months. This was their first official public appearance after the recent acquisition in July 2019.

A 54m yacht’s project “WIDER 180” has already started and the first cut of the hull is planned at the beginning of 2020 with a delivery foreseen for February 2022.

Andrea Vallicelli & C #yacht Design have designed clean and essential lines and created huge volumes for a #yacht of this size. The beach area – a distinguishing feature of the #wider yachts – opens up to 160m2, an incredible space to sunbath and relax, with a seawater swimming pool, a spa and a gym. Moreover, thanks to its Floating Launching System, the area can recover a 10m tender making entry and exit maneuvers considerably easier for the crew when launching.

WIDER 180 represents, ça va sans dire, a step further forward in the constant #wider evolution towards 100% electric technology. The vessel is equipped with one main generator with an emergency back up generator leading to a weight reduction and consequently less consumption and less maintenance expenses.

I am enthusiast of this project, either for the beautiful clean modern lines either for its green soul – affirms #marcellomaggi, #wider President – which is something we strongly believe in. We opened the way of the electric propulsion applied on leisure superyachts and this is the right path to cover, without looking behind.”

WIDER 135 is the second project unveiled by the Italian team, a 41m superyacht entirely constructed in aluminum.

Centro Stile #wider, headed by Michele Lubrano Lobianco designed modern and dynamic lines, always maintaining the focus on the direct contact with the sea. #wider 135 follows the distinguishing feature of her predecessors with a beach club that completely unfolds creating a 90m2 multi-use platform at water level. This is an ideal area for sunbathing surrounding an infinity pool.

I firmly believe in this niche, – declares Maggi – we manage to offer the volume and the comfort of a displacement #yacht and the enjoyment at sea typical of an open boat.”

The #wider team is busy working on other custom projects from 100’ to 200’ and on new versions of #wider 32 and #wider 42, which will be unveiled in the near future. #wider will strongly focus on quality and innovation, rather than quantity. Every construction will have a dedicated team and shed.

Philip Zepter and Tiziano Giovannetti were also enthusiastic to take part in the conference. The strength is combining technical and financial experiences coming from different industries and fields: Maggi is a shipbuilder since 1986, Giovannetti’s expertise relies on finance and green energy and Zepter is a worldwide industrialist, in charge of many world-renowned companies.

One of our main goals – states Tiziano Giovannetti – is to achieve a complete electric propulsion system without the actual limitations in range and speed and we will do this in five years’ time”. “Last but not least – continues #philipzepteras we have already announced, WIDER will be listed in the stock exchange within three years and we are working hard to attain it”.
