Cruising further in less time with the Voyager 61

New fast-displacement #vandenhoven blends comfort and speed 

 

Van den Hoven Jachtbouw in the Netherlands has unveiled the dynamic design for an all-new #voyager61 flybridge motoryacht. The result of several years of R&D and client consultation, this new member of the #vandenhoven fleet synthesises the wealth of experience gained over the past 20 years. Construction has started on the first of these spacious all-aluminium fast-displacement yachts that will allow owners to cover considerable distances in good time and exceptional comfort.                                        

Connoisseurs of premium-quality Dutch motoryachtswho enjoysailing the inland waters of Europe will already be familiar with the #vandenhoven brand. Since the mid-1990s this boutique yard has launched around 55 fully customised steel motoryachts between 15 and 24 metres in length. 

Building up a dedicated clientele in the process, #vandenhoven has consistently raised the bar in terms of providing spaciousness, comfort and genuine ease of use via carefully considered layouts. The fact that the yard takes care of every aspect of the build in-house offers maximum efficiency and a competitive price, along with a genuinely personalised service to owners. The distinctively elegant lines of its yachts have also contributed to a sizable number of repeat orders, along with a growing number of requests from yachtsmen looking to go further afield in a #vandenhoven.  

Fresh adventures
With ever-more people looking to enjoy the unique assets of a #vandenhoven in areas such as the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and beyond, the yard decided to branch out and create a fast #vandenhoven #yacht in aluminium. The #voyager61 has been developed with one of the leading Dutch designers in this field, Rene van der Velden. He has successfully retained the characteristic #vandenhoven lines while drawing an exciting motoryacht that is sure to please current clients and create a new fan base for #vandenhoven.

“The Voyager 61 reflects a desire to cruise further afield and not have to spend too much time enroute between destinations,” says Bart #vandenhoven, managing director of #vandenhoven Jachtbouw. “With a top speed of 21.5 knots, owners will be able to travel greater distances in less time while still enjoying all the renowned #vandenhoven values of space, finishing, comfort and performance. The Voyager 61 blends a good speed and superb looks with genuine value for money.” 

International flavour 

Rene van der Velden has successfully ensured that the new Voyager 61 has a very clear #vandenhoven signature from a distance within a timeless, elegant and sturdy design. “We set out to ensure that this new #yacht would be instantly recognisable as a #vandenhoven. This means standing out from the mainstream while never straying into extravagance. The brand is rightly celebrated for the simple effectiveness of its designs: we have taken that onboard while adding an extra international flavour and some luxurious elements to the design of the exterior profile and interior.” 

 

Recognising that owners will spend a lot of time outdoors as they explore new grounds, the #voyager61 makes excellent use of the available al fresco spaces. A large flybridge comfortably accommodates eight people who will enjoy the pleasures of the outside galley and the sun loungers. The foredeck also features large sun beds while the aft deck is a pleasant spot for shaded relaxation in the open air.

 

Thanks to serious interest noted after the launch of the #voyager61, and based on the many remarks, observations and wishes we received from existing and prospective clients, we are planning to expand the series with a 70 and a 79-foot model. More information will be forthcoming soon.
