Italian style, character, excellence, innovation: CCN redesigns its image

After 20 years in business, boat builder Cerri is now marking an important milestone in its history, through the reorganisation of the Company’s structure and management, a new image, a whole new brand, and a contemporary product range capable of conquering the world’s markets and international clientele.

CCN is the new name in Made-in-Italy yachting, reflecting its core principles - Italian style, character, excellence and innovation – in a large and versatile fleet of motor yachts.

The Company has undoubtedly come a long way since the construction, back in 1997, of its first motor boat, the Cerri 28, which marked the beginning of the Shipyard’s activity and was then reinterpreted in the 52 and 40 versions. Larger yachts followed, like the Cerri 86’ FlyingSport – a flawless blend of sporty features and comfort – and the Cerri 102’ FlyingSport, a 30-meter craft delivering revolutionary technical solutions, outstanding performances, and unmatched onboard comfort.

Today, CCN is one of the leading ambassadors of the Italian yachting industry, boasting highly innovative office buildings and a production site that extends over 9,000 square meters.

Following its acquisition by the Gavio family in 2012, CCN initially focused on investing in research and development, while also reorganizing its managerial structure and implementing a strong company strategy capable of winning over new foreign markets. The two most successful series in the FlyingSport Line – the #ccn 102’ and the #ccn 86’- were restyled, preserving their distinctive design features but also adapting them in order to meet new technical requirements. The traditional lines were then joined by two new collections: the “Firma” collection, which includes a number of signature projects involving leading design and naval architecture firms, like Studio Vafiadis, Studio Spadolini, and Studio Bacigalupo; and the “Fuoriserie” collection, marking CCN’s debut in the world of fully-custom yachts – unique and inimitable works of art created to meet today’s growing demand for total personalization. One of these masterpieces is MY FREEDOM, the third Fuoriserie model, owned by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, which, thanks to her innovative design solutions, in September 2018 in the magnificent setting of Cannes, was awarded the World Superyacht Trophy for the most avant-garde #yacht of the year by magazineYacht France.

“Our customers’ needs keep evolving and changing at an incredibly fast pace – says CCN’s CEO Diego Michele Deprati.- Thanks to our increasingly diversified offer and our fully-custom projects, we are sure we will be able to play a major role in this new yachting ecosystem. Over the last few years, our shipyard has had a strong focus on research and innovation, undergoing considerable changes. We are currently working on more environmentally-friendly solutions – continues Deprati which will allow us to create new value and sustainable growth”.

CCN’s offer is now growing further, with 4 new yachts currently under construction, 3 of which have already been sold: the Panam 40, pencilled by Francesco Paszkowski, built in magnesium and aluminium alloy; the DOM 123, a 37.30 m #yacht designed by Studio Vafiadis; 31 m Vanadis, in aluminium, by designer Guido De Groot; and 26.30 m fibreglass #yacht 86’FlyingSport.

In addition to its Italian headquarters in Avenza (Massa Carrara), in April 2017 #ccn – jointly with the Baglietto brand – opened its new American branch in Fort Lauderdale, entrusted with promoting and strengthening the two brands’ presence in the Americas.
