Centrostiledesign signed the new Sessa Marine FX5

Davide Cipriani’s #design firm and the storied Lombardy shipyard have designed a model that Intech Boating will shortly be launching in Brazil. Created to satisfy the specific needs of a rapidly growing market, the main characteristics of this new Flybridge #yacht fitted with Volvo Penta engines are maximum liveability and comfort, natural light and open spaces created for a convivial lifestyle.

F5X (the name hasn’t been finalised yet and nor has the length, which will be between 52 and 56 feet) is the new Flybridge #yacht that will soon be distributed by Intech Boating, the Sessa dealer based in Palhoça in the Brazilian State of Santa Caterina. Davide Cipriani’s Centrostiledesign looked after all the #design work, from the hull and exteriors to the interior decoration.

Beauty, attention to detail, style and cutting-edge technology are the key drivers of this project, which will probably be available early in 2020. Designed specifically with Brazilian owners in mind, the layout features three cabins plus the crew cabin, sleeping a total of seven. The day zone is dominated by a vast living room with huge windows that offer some striking views.

The coatings and finishes are those typically found on #sessamarine yachts, with their reputation for quality. The excellent distribution of space on board is designed to offer maximum comfort and unparalleled opportunities to socialise: the living room, for example, has enough sofas and armchairs to seat 12 people, while the Flybridge with its carbon fiber T-Top is furnished as an open air living room, offering an L-shaped sofa, a low table, a cabinet, a sink and a grill (or, optionally, a cooking top), as well as a solarium area around the helm station. The exterior spaces are both spacious and welcoming, reflecting how Brazilian owners typically use their boats, with various cooking units and classic sun lounging areas allowing the outdoor areas to be exploited to the full throughout the day. The main materials used for the interiors are nubuck, mirrored surfaces, lacquer and a mixture of grey oak wood varieties.

The engines will be two Volvo Penta IPS units, with a joystick provided to make mooring operations easier. In the future, it will also be possible to fit the #yacht with a hybrid engine.

“I feel great pride in having contributed to this project. Brazil is a market with huge potential for the Italian #yacht making industry and, with #sessamarine and Intech Boating, we’ve tried to interpret the desires of a specific set of owners with a different way of enjoying life at sea compared to other geographical areas”.
