Introducing the new Evo CC

The most innovative brand in the yachting industry makes its debut in the Center Console segment. #evocc redefines the outboard engines daycruiser category and completes the shipyard’s range of 43-foot open models, without betraying their unmistakable style. Its distinctive features include the outboard engines, the central driving console, and a series of original design solutions to ensure the utmost comfort on board, not least the new convertible sun lounger.

May 2018. At 13 meters in length (43 feet) and over 4 meters wide, the new Evo Center Console is the latest model from Naples-based shipyard Evo Yachts. It was designed by Valerio Rivellini, who states: “This new center console vessel is without doubt inspired by the previous Evo Yachts models: the real challenge was in fact to be consistent with the brand’s stylistic features and family feeling, while producing a boat that is fast, sporty, functional and targeted specifically at the world of owners attracted by the practicality and performance of outboards”.

The hull’s aggressive, streamlined styling features Rivellini’s signature vertical bow and bold shapes. The bollards, fenders and anchor are all retractable to eliminate any disruption to the muscular sweep of the lines that frame a deck space devoted entirely to comfort. Characterised by smart design solutions that are also aesthetically impeccable and draw on the shipyard’s Form & Function culture, the aft cockpit has a solid teak deck throughout and contains a big new sun lounging pad (2 x 2 m), which can easily accommodate three guests and boasts a 46 cm height above deck level for maximum comfort. The entire structure can be lifted with ease to gain access to the tender compartment. Moving forward, there is a folding table with a maximum width of 140 cm when open, followed by three chairs. All the backrests in this area can be reversed to change the direction in which the seats are facing; the chaise longue backrests can also be reclined, providing three more seats for the table, or can be used as an extra set of cushions. An awning supported by two carbon poles can be used to shade the area.

Even further forward is a central galley work surface made from Corian with induction hobs (or alternatively a grill or a Teppanyaki hot plate), a sink and a fridge. A carbon T-Top offers plenty of shelter from the sun and extends far enough to provide shade for the three central seats facing the helm station, featuring a curved fiberglass panel containing all the onboard instrumentation. In the bow, a second sun lounging pad, which can also be shaded with an awning, extends elegantly towards the anchor compartment, which contains a Bruce type stainless steel anchor and is so easy to access that it is also used as a storage area for the fenders.

Below deck too, where we find a dinette that can be converted into a “cabin”, the leitmotif is functional design. A rising table can be used either as a dining table or a bed (or as a sofa area when lowered) and the bathroom has a full-height shower. The stern area doesn’t feel separate from the rest of the boat and is organised as an open space, from which a bright and comfortable stern cabin can be created (optional). The boat can therefore sleep up to four people.

The outboards are the true novelty of this new model in the Evo Yachts range, which now looks to owners attracted by the practicality and performance of this type of propulsion system. The three options available all feature Mercury Verados outboards: 350 hp (multiplied by three or four engines), or 400 hp with three engines. The speed varies according to the engine arrangement, with a top speed of almost 50 knots possible. Performance is optimized by the hull design, with an 18-degree deadrise that ensures excellent seakeeping and maximum safety even during tight turns or in rough sea.

The owners of Evo Yachts, brothers Alfredo and Rosario Mercuri, describe their many expectations in the presentation of the new design: “Evo CC reflects the evolution of the shipyard and its maturity, offering a motor #yacht that has a broad range of possible configurations, but also offers sumptuous comfort right from the basic model. It is a competitive product that reaches out to markets in Europe and America, where we continue to consolidate our presence with the help of our partners in Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean and California. We strongly believe in this new model, which completes the Evo Yachts range and offers even more choice to our demanding Owners”.
