Luxury yacht-builder, #sealine, has created its largest boat yet – the #f530 flybridge #yacht – and has chosen Volvo Penta IPS to power it. In accordance with Sealine’s ethos of combining clever styling with practical design, the 53ft vessel is spacious and has exceptional performance – factors which are made possible by the installation of Volvo Penta’s IPS system. The #f530 will be making its #uk debut at the #southamptonboatshow

“We wanted to go bigger and better, so we created this sleek ‘flylounge’ #yacht,” says Andrea Zambonini, product manager at HanseGroup, which owns #sealine. “We wanted to create a home away from home that would appeal to families and people who want to be able to use it at any time.

"The flybridge is like a large terrace, and in the main deck we have lots of glass and optional doors which make the boat enjoyable all year round."

"Customers are often very keen to know all the engine's parameters," says Magazzù. "It is fundamental to keep fuel consumption under control via the digital instruments, which also display the information of the analogical gauges. We have adopted the very sophisticated Glass Cockpit that is undoubtedly essential in rendering the boat's top quality touches."

Sealine designs and manufactures luxury yachts motor-boats. The company was founded in the #uk in 1972 and acquired by the German-based HanseGroup in 2013. The #f530 has three cabins. A mechanism on the helm seat allows it to pivot backwards and be used as a chaise longue.

Smooth and precise

Sealine's #f530 is available with Volvo Penta's 8-liter diesel engine and three propulsion system options: twin D8-IPS800s (600hp), IPS700s (550hp) or IPS600s (435hp). It has a top speed of 31 knots and is also equipped with Volvo Penta's Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) for full boat function management, along with a 16-inch pioneering Glass Cockpit System screen which enables the operator to customize navigation and control layouts as desired.

Long hailed as a revolution in the marine industry, Volvo Penta IPS offers outstanding performance with up to 30 per cent better fuel efficiency and lower emissions than a stand-alone inboard engine. The forward-facing twin counter-rotating propellers sit under the hull in undisturbed water, enabling better grip and faster acceleration. The individually steerable pods facilitate excellent maneuverability.

"The stability of Volvo Penta IPS is very good," says Zambonini. "It is very precise for driving and docking which makes it safe both in the marina and out at sea when it might be windy. It uses less fuel and so provides better cost of ownership, and with less emissions it's better for the environment. #sealine has a good tradition of producing luxury boats and we're very proud to be showing it at the #southamptonboatshow."

Clive Dunsford, Sales Manager at Volvo Penta, says: "Sealine has worked hard to create a #yacht which is compact yet comfortable and which features some of the luxury aspects you might normally see in the superyacht category. The #f530 is beautiful to behold and a fantastic #yacht on board which to enjoy life on the water."

Sealine's #f530 has been nominated for a European Powerboat of the Year 2017 award for powerboats of more than 45ft.

Volvo Penta will be at stand E049 at the #southamptonboatshow from September 16-25. #sealine will be at stands M203, M205, M207, M209, and M211 at the show.

Sealine is hosting a press #event at 10:00 hrs on September 16, at its stand, M203
