New Damen Yacht Support 5009 to debut in Monaco

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

DAMEN is pleased to present the newly upgraded 55-metre (181 ft) #damen #yacht Support 5009 at the #monacoyachtshow 2016. And we’re not just bringing a scale model, but an actual #ys5009 vessel parked at T-Central from 28 September to 1 October 2016.

“What better way to prove the great advantages of the #yacht Support concept than a purpose-built showcase vessel?” says Rob Luijendijk, Managing Director of #amels, DAMEN’s luxury #yacht builder and partner for the #yacht Support range. “Construction is underway at #damen in Holland and the #ys5009 will shortly begin sea trials. In #monaco we plan on bringing a full array of toys, tenders, a submersible and dive equipment.”

The value for money is very competitive and clients have responded positively – 9 vessels from the #yacht Support range have been delivered or are under construction. Following the success of the upgraded 69.15-metre YS 6911 (227 ft), DAMEN’s team of designers and engineers has turned its attention to the #ys5009, explains Mark Vermeulen, #damen Product Director #yacht Support and SeaXplorer.

“The upgraded #ys5009 offers all the benefits of larger helicopters, safer operations, bigger tenders and a great variety of toys. You accommodate more staff and crew. Plus, we can deliver in 8 months from signing depending on the client’s requirements – no other solution can match that.”

DAMEN’s comprehensive list of pre-engineered options to configure the vessel illustrates the YS 5009’s flexibility. Custom configurations include:

  • Dive
Submersibles, dive store and tenders, safety equipment and accommodation.
  • Sail
Live the nautical dream with all the gear, speed and space you need for the ultimate high-end sailing experience.
  • Heli
Touch-and-Go helipad or fully certified – increase the operational envelope, larger aircraft and charter operations.
  • Hangar
All-weather protection with several hangar possibilities, including telescopic sliding doors to maximise free deck space.
